Premium PLA (polylactic acid) materials are occasionally utilized if special characteristics are needed.

- Fiberon PET-CF17 combines superior strength, surface texture, and dimensional accuracy with moisture insensitivity. The majority of DRS products utilize this material.

- Fiberon ASA-CF08 offers enhanced UV, moisture, and chemical resistance making it ideal for long-lasting outdoor performance. Ruggedized variants of DRS products typically utilize this material.

- PolyMax PLA is 9x more impact-resistant and has 5x the tensile strength compared to regular PLA. Additionally, it has 20% better mechanical properties than ABS. It offers a smooth, uniform surface finish, consistent color quality, and reliable dimensional accuracy suitable for both functional and cosmetic components. Some specialty DRS products utilize this material when both color variety and enhanced toughness are important factors.
